Hey, I’m Ashden.
I love playing sports, fishing and spending time with my family and friends. I am a good leader and role model to my teammates and peers. Read on to learn more about me.
My Interests
Leadership
As a peer advocate at Fenn, I am responsible for solving situations between my peers and being a good role model at the school. As a member of Fenn’s student DEI Committee, I teach the students about race and inclusion and helping them understand other cultures. I like learning about other people’s heritage and cultures and expressing my own. During my 7th grade year at Fenn, I did an internship as an editor for the Fenn Voice, which is a student publication. I helped build the website and published student work. As an athlete, I have learned a lot about how to build bonds with my teammates and encourage them on and off of the court. I always try to lead by example and push myself and my teammates harder every practice and being a good sport.
What I Do for Fun
Outside of school and studying, I love to have fun with my family and friends. I enjoy night fishing off of the beach with my grandpa during the summer. I love to cook new foods and I also like to try new foods. I like to work on my basketball skills with my older brother and also by myself. I also like hanging out with my friends, playing basketball and fishing.
The Dwelling Place
Since I was young, I have been volunteering at The Dwelling Place, a soup kitchen in Woburn, MA. I love giving back to my community and helping prepare and serve meals to people in need.
Volunteer Experiences
Foster Brother
One of the most humbling experiences I have had was being a foster brother. It taught me a lot about children in the foster system and made me realize how privileged I am to have my family. At the same time, I really loved taking care of the children that stayed with our family.
Fenn Volunteer
I love giving back to my Fenn community. I enjoy being a tour guide during Fenn’s open houses because I like to share my Fenn experiences with others. Through Fenn, I volunteered at Open Table, a local food pantry in Concord, MA.
Helping My Community
Over the years, my family and I have committed to doing various community service projects. My family and I put together care packages and went to Boston to distribute them to unhoused persons. I have also participated in food drives held by my local church as well as winter clothing distribution events.

My Goals
I am working to be the best student athlete that I can be. Whether it is on the basketball court, the football field, or the classroom, I will work as hard as possible to achieve that goal.
Someday, I would like to work at a law firm because I want to work to bring justice to our society and stand up for people’s rights.
Work Experiences
I have enjoyed working since I was very young. I had a paper route where I was responsible for delivering the local newspaper five days a week and keeping track of collecting the money for the subscriptions.
I also worked at my uncle’s spin studio on Saturday mornings where I helped check people in at the front desk as well as cleaned and organized.
